Summer Pajamas Beginner Sewing Class

Description

This 4 hour class that is spread out over two weeks will improve your sewing skills while making some comfy summer pajamas. We will be using the Violette Field Threads Cecilia pattern (https://violettefieldthreads.com/pages/search-results-page?q=cecilia). This class will build on skills learned in the pillowcase and hooded towel class. We will be learning about how to layout and cut a pattern, how to finish edges of fabric, as well as sewing on curved seams.

Supplies:

3 yards of fabric will allow for up to a size 18 women’s shorts and fully lined cami top. Smaller sizes won’t need as much; a fabric requirement chart comes with the pattern.

Sewing machine (available for rent or bring your own)

Cloth tape measurer

Straight pins

Fabric scissors

If you rent a sewing machine, it will include scissors, seam ripper, pins, tape measurer, bobbins, and sewing machine needles to use.
